As many of you may or may not know, I am OBSESSED with HGTV and grew up spending HOURS watching Trading Spaces. Although TS is still is near and dear to my heart, I found a new love in 2013 when Chip and Joanna Gaines brought the world of Fixer Upper to HGTV.
I've dreamed of owning my own home for years that I could "fix up" and make my own; but, I never had enough money and quite frankly the housing market here in Casper hasn't been too great.
After looking for about 2 1/2 years off and on, I finally put all my faith into my real estate Agent (Alisha Collins; she's awesome, go check her out). What felt like hundreds but was really only a few, Alisha set up appointments at homes that fit my criteria. I tried to stay open minded but just couldn't find that right fixer upper.
Enter, April 6, 2019. My boyfriend John and I had just attended one of Alisha's Home Buyer Seminars and while trolling Realtor.com, we found a house with A LOT of great potential. It had just come on the market and hadn't even had it's first open house yet.
Now realize, that when it comes to me buying a house, there are numerous people involved. Both of my parents, John's Parents, John, and Miki all had to approve of a house before I even considered putting any kind of bid in on it. My parents have renovated both of my childhood homes and are the type of people who believe heavily in DIY projects. John's parents have renovated their home as well AND Roy is a contractor who has connections and is awesome at his job He's the type of guy to crawl into an crawl space to check every nook and cranny.
Inspections...Negotiations..Repair Requests...and 2 weeks later..I finally close on my first house!

I am so thankful for everyone in my life who has been supportive of my searching, my indecisiveness, and my overall happiness. I cannot wait to start renovating and making this house a furever home for many more puppies and a great place for memories! With a bit of elbow grease, imagination, and thrifting, I think we can find ways to make this house awesome AF!
