One of the biggest "fads" in today's world is the #365dayphotochallenge. Many people shoot a photo every day and share it with friends and family on social media.
A recent study completed by the University of Sheffield and Lancaster University reported that taking a photograph each day and posting it online can improve your well-being. The study, co-authored by Dr. Andrew Cox of the University of Sheffield, and Dr. Liz Brewster, of Lancaster University, revealed that "taking one photo every day and sharing it online seems to impact well-being in a number of ways. It encourages people to look differently at the world around them, prompts them to go out of their routine ways and connects them with others more. It makes them feel more creative. They enjoy taking the photos, but also looking back at them."
Not to sound cliche, but I made it my personal goal in 2018 to share a photo every single day. Although not all of them are necessarily new photos, it has definitely given me a different perspective on my life and my surroundings. It's encouraged me to get out of the house on days when I could just hermit and avoid the outside world. It also reminds me of the adventures I've been on and makes me look forward to future adventures.
