Engagement photos are such a fun thing to photograph! The excitement of newly engaged couples, the upcoming nuptials, and just pure love. In a recent blog post, I mentioned four main reasons why you SHOULD have engagement photos taken and I still say you should. However, let’s say you get your engagement photos back from your photographer..now what? Have no fear! I’ve got five ways to use your engagement photos.
Save the Date Cards & Invitations!
Obviously this is one of the most common and more practical uses for engagement photos. What better way to invite your loved ones to your special day than to create personal cards showing off the love you and your partner share.
Thank Ewe!
Get it? Ewe? A female Sheep? Anyways! I’m a sucker for thank you cards. It’s not just classy to send your wedding guests thank you cards, it’s the polite thing to do. Between using your engagement photos for personalized save the date and thank you cards, your guests will feel that much more connected to you.
Social Media!
Let’s get real; almost everybody has social media now-a-days. It’s the best way to stay in contact with family and friends. Even more-so, I’ve never come across someone who didn’t want gorgeous photos for their profile. Not to mention, you’ll probably share a TON of updates on the upcoming nuptials online and your photos will accompany those posts beautifully!
Happy Holidays!
Plain and simple! Celebrate the holidays by recycling your engagement photos as a holiday card!
Home is where the Heart is!
Preserve the excitement and joy of your engagement period alive in your heart for years to come! Decorate your home with gorgeous professional photos of you and your partner by creating a gallery wall where you can slip in a few engagement photos in with the mix of loved ones.
My hope is that you feel inspired to expand the usage of your engagement photos. A once in a life-time shoot, your engagement session can provide an assortment of images that can be used in so many different ways.
