You've gotten to know me, John, and Miki Moo. Now! I''ll take a minute to introduce you to the youngest in the Weber clan, Monroe (Roe).
First, I'll give you some background on how Monroe and the thought of another dog came into play. Miki Moo may be cute but she's always struggled with separation anxiety and it got to the point that we were spending so much time and money on anxiety treatments that it got to be a lot to handle. We were having to rearrange our entire days just to ensure someone could be with her at all times and or take her for a play date at doggy daycare. If someone couldn't be with her, we were having to give her medications to keep her calm.
After a while, those methods started failing as she would get an upset stomach and have accidents and sometimes even accidentally injure herself. We took her to the vet to see what else we could do and were told we could continue trying different treatments and methods or get Miki Moo a friend. Miki was already pretty picky with friends and we wanted to ensure she would be comfortable while adjusting to the new addition. With that being said, we decided to try and find another malamute. We had heard that female Alaskan Malamutes have a tendency to not get along with other female mally's so we took to the world wide web to search for a male mally.
Enter our (not so) little Monroe. At only 9 months old, he's a whopping 80lbs and towers over his almost 3 year old sister. Our gentle giant loves playing with his sister, squeaky toys, napping, Mom and Dad, and FOOD! He's the greatest blessing to our little family and has made Miki so much happier. She no longer cries whenever left alone and has learned to love her little big brother!
