You've gotten to know me and you've gotten to know John but now, I'd like to introduce you to "our children", Miki and Monroe. 

Growing up I always had dogs and I loved it.  I have nothing against other animals, but dogs were always something that was sort of a staple in our household.  Dogs were the constant friend I had to hang out with in the yard, camping, and even at the lake. John, on the other hand, had dogs around but never really had a dog of his own.  

So when John and I first started talking about moving in together, he had expressed his desire for a dog of his own.  Me, being a lover of Labs, wanted to rescue a labrador retriever whereas John has always loved Alaskan Malamutes.  We looked for a dog for MONTHS, making a point not to be too picky considering any dog that needed a good home was one we were interested in. 

Fast forward months later and John and I are driving 4.5 hours to go look at this 5 month old puppy named Miki. The runt of the liter, Miki was, and still is, a sweet yet skittish pup.  Her favorite things include going on adventures, playing in water, chewing on bones, and napping with her hedgehog.  

John will never admit it, but Miki is a momma's girl and follows me EVERYWHERE.  Not that I complain, because let's be real; she's cute, soft, and I love kissing on her. She's my adventure buddy and for the first 1.5 of her life, all we did was experience new things together and constantly play.  She's the furry love of my life and I am so blessed to have her as a part of my family.
